Loss of interest

I think everyone loses focus from time to time.

It can get boring and often you can't feel any difference in yourself when you have good BG levels and bad BG levels. Until they get really out of control (which is when a lot of us a diagnosed).

It may be normal, but it isn't sensible. Lack of care for yourself can cause long term damage.

I think most people posting here are very interested; sadly a lot of T2s just try and ignore the condition.

Yes, it's normal.
It's probably depression.

Diabetes is a hard thing to get over.
Give yourself a bit of slack, but you do need to see the doctor, and discuss this with them.

Maybe don't check blood some days, but do take meds. I think a lot of Type 2s' bloods stay pretty stable on meds if they aren't on insulin. A lot where I work don't check it at all, they take metformin and stay away from the cherry pie.

No one should be attacking you for your diet choices. Do you just mean you are hardly eating anything? I would imagine that would cause me to be very peed off. Are you still injecting while not eating much? Are you measuring your blood sugar levels? Sorry for the barrage of questions but this info is all quite important.

Nothing wrong with a crash diet if it works for you.
Are you checking you BG, if you're on insulin.
Are you adjusting your dose.

And the fact you are still on the insulin means you haven't given up, so hang in there, get back to your doctors, and just sit down with them.
You're still doing well.

But i guess the thing that scares me is keep taking 50 units and 40units of levimir must be killing me inside and im starting to notice colder toes although the foot person always says good heart beat

It's a struggle, diabetes isn't easy.
The first step is a little one though, just get on top of thinking about care, and you've done that one already.
The next step is how.
Cut out a few carbs here and there.
Get the sugars down.
You know what you need to do really.

Like you say, there's no damage done yet, so knock a few carbs out.

Nothing else.
