Removing Libre sensor on first day, help?

Anyone know how/what the best way is to remove a sensor on it's first day? Didn't work so need to remove it!

Hi nskelton what was the problem with the sensor if you dont mind me asking.when im removing my sensors i use warm soapy water and sort of wedge my finger right around it a bit of a time its quite hard to get off even after 14 days so i can imagine it to be a nightmare after 1 day good luck

Gave me the scan in 10 mins message then just said not working and take it out.. yeah that's my thought too... oh well!

Nskelton phone abbot up and tell them about sensor not working this has happened to me and they have replaced it free of charge .also they may have a solution on how to remove it
 
I always remove sensors, cannulars, tape put on by physios, etc. in the shower. This gives the water a chance to get into the stickiness as I gently and slowly remove it.
I used to think the quick yank was the way to go but ended up with bumps and rashes which didn't appear with the liberal application of water.
 
Peel around the edges of the adhesive until you can get a good grip, then just pull it out! When I used the libre I always had trouble with it leaving residue on my arm for some time after removal, but this shouldn't be an issue on the first day. Make sure to have some tissues handy in case of bleeding - apply pressure for a couple of minutes to stop it.
 
Sit in the bath with the sensor submerged for half an hour. It will peel off easier than a plaster.

Get in touch with Abbotts and report it (make sure you have your reader handy as they will ask for some error codes off it). I had the same yesterday and had a new sensor in the post today :D

Just pull it off. Usually the sensor comes off and leaves the sticky bit on my arm which i then scrub off in the shower
 
Noooo don’t just pull off (bet it is off by now anyway.) Had to take one off 3 days in, the first time I wore one on a trial. Took all the skin with it. Never too old to learn.
