It's worth bearing in mind when people with diabetes wonder why one food is OK for them whilst other, apparantly similar, foods don't work for them but do work for other people. I think it is a good idea not to expect a one diet fits all is possible. There are big differences from small changes.

Yes, and it all requires sufficient energy to drive all bodily functions.
 
Hello I was diagnosed 2 months ago I am on metformin 1500mg I use camel milk and yes it does lower your bg levels I missed my dosage once intentionally to see the effectiveness of milk and now I have missed two sugar level remains at 128 very constant checked with two Gms I don't have any motive to mislead anyone and I don't sell camels or drugs I'm a dibatic just like ur self searching and trying herbal treatments maybe my bg level will rise again I don't know I could be wrong and but so far it's working but it's not even a day yet

Please be aware that Metformin has little affect on blood glucose and is prescribed for different reasons.

Sir metformin 1500mg perday was prescribed to me by Dr for dibates type 2 since I saw the benifit i.e the good glycemic control on milk I searched the forum to see if someonecekse us using camels mlik so I came across this thread only replied to give my input not intended to revive an old thread but I thought I should share with people what's working because it might help someone regards

Metformin is prescribed for Type 2 Diabetes but it does not have a glucose lowering affect. It works in the liver to curb the effects of liver dump, is a mild appetite suppressant and it affords some protection to the organs.

Well sir I was only on metformin and excercise and healthy eating to lower my bg which when diagnosed was 325 came ro 180 then 160 was constant there now I'm getting very good numbers below 140 most of the times I was advised junamet too but I didn't take it as it has a some very serious side effects regards again
