I imagine the promises of £350million a week for the NHS swayed many people into not worrying about the health implications of this mess, like not getting access to new meds and technologies, finding it harder to source radioactive isotopes for scanners and cancer treatments due to leaving Euratom etc.Yes indeed, one of the many (foreseen) problems, but it's what the majority voted for and therefore we must assume the majority is happy with this situation.
And of course Brexit will improve this situation no end! I am wondering if anyone will be able to afford to donate to the food banks.Meanwhile, one and a quarter million people are visiting food banks in the Merseyside area. Of which, 80 percent are working!
Why not see-through?!I imagine the promises of £350million a week for the NHS swayed many people into not worrying about the health implications of this mess, like not getting access to new meds and technologies, finding it harder to source radioactive isotopes for scanners and cancer treatments due to leaving Euratom etc.
Still, blue passports, eh?
Why not see-through?!
I don't think sourcing radioactive isotopes will be much of a problem for us as we process most of the worlds radioactive waste in our great country.I imagine the promises of £350million a week for the NHS swayed many people into not worrying about the health implications of this mess, like not getting access to new meds and technologies, finding it harder to source radioactive isotopes for scanners and cancer treatments due to leaving Euratom etc.

In the airport check in queue I saw a couple hiding their passports in black leather covers imitating the old passport design. Why not just make the covers blue/black if that’s what people wanted, because there was never anything stopping that, the burgundy was just a recommendation. Croatia have blue ones. And the original British blue one was a design imposed by the League of Nations in 1920, so wasn’t home grown anywayAnd the current biometric format was at the insistence of the Americans...
But see-through sounds epic, as long as we can see everyone’s terrible mug shot clearly![]()

We do, we’re the world’s nuclear dustbin. But spent fuel and medical elements aren’t the same thing.I don't think sourcing radioactive isotopes will be much of a problem for us as we process most of the worlds radioactive waste in our great country.
Exactly. We do, we’re the world’s nuclear dustbin. But spent fuel and medical elements aren’t the same thing.
We've lost the Medicines Agency to Amsterdam; had to pay for it to be relocated; and pay compensation for cancelled the contract to rent offices in Canary Wharf. Plus the loss of hundreds of job.this may cause massive problems as some firms say they will not introduce new products to the uk until they know what the costs of liensing will be
Now there's a thing. Can we sell them?!I don't think sourcing radioactive isotopes will be much of a problem for us as we process most of the worlds radioactive waste in our great country.
I think we need them more than they need us.I'm sure that if the Dutch want us to keep taking their nuclear waste they will keep supplying us with the isotopes. The thing with brexit is that both sides are reliant on each other for so many things. Most of what we've seen so far from both sides is political posturing but at the end of the day we need each other so a good deal for both sides will be done.
Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke proposed that in the 80s. Not like we don't have huge areas in the outback to take in the world's waste and bury it. We're talking many many thousands of square miles of totally uninhabited territory.
Win win. The only country that could do it.
The Greens killed it ... of course
We sure do, just watch out for the radioactive Drop Bears they glow in the dark...Haven't you already got a lot of funny looking animals in that neck of the woods - before you add extra radiation !

we must assume the majority of the public is happy with this situation.
