Hello all! I have an issue that I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on.
At the end of January I had a bout with the stomach flu. Since then I have had the feeling that my digestion has come to a screeching halt. A lot of the time when I have eaten it feels like the food just sits in my stomach for a while; bloating often accompanies this, as does some acid reflux at night (which I haven't had since I was 19). I was struggling with diarrhea as well until a week or so ago, when my doctor told me to take a yeast pill. In all this time there has been virtually no bowel movement to mention though. Has anyone here experienced something similar?
I was diagnosed in 2011 as T1. Since then though, save for a few periods here and there, I managed my disease half-heartedly; I am trying to get it unter better control now though. A fear that I have is that I may have developed gastroparesis, which my doctor poo-poos because there are days that my sugar is nearly perfect and because the values for my kidneys and such are all still good.
