Hi and sorry you are suffering from being getting back into control again. I hope you keep up the good work as your body enjoys stability not chaos! I have a PT client who had type 2 and had these tpe of pains following a recent illness where his diabetes went astray. I found a useful thread on this site re neuropathy and a nutritional solution called The Anti oxidant Miracle by Lester Packer (its on Amazon).I was tempted to go for a jog this morning and start building up muscles but the pain is to severe do you think building up muscles would help? Also do you think the 2 stone weight gain so suddenly may be the cause? My legs are just not used to the weight? Xx
I'm using lyrics (pregabalin) tablets. 75x2 times a day for nerve pain. I take my evening one with 3 other painkillers to start my 5hrs of bedtime sleep. Thanks for the tips. I agree about the hot baths - they do help. Why is it that the pain comes on when I am horizontal and not during the day when I am running around at work? What do you think of the Lirica tablets? Do they work at all? Even though I am on a small dose of 50mg they really knock me out .
Thank youGosh poor you! My pain seems to come and go. Tonight I slept until three then had to take a codeine tablet. The more I am upright the better it is - So it must be something to do with circulation. I am waiting to see my doctor to find out next steps - this came on very suddenly literally from one day to the next so I am hoping it will go just as quickly. Try the walking really gently I am sure it will help and get to see a doctor a bit sooner - 6 weeks is much too long to go in so much pain. I really feel for you and hope that things improve soon for you.
Hi Kelly, I have the same symptoms and it’s really getting me down. I’m in pain all day and it’s keeping me awake at night too. At times, I can hardly walk. I’ve been out today but now I’m suffering. My gp suspected I have a vitamin d deficiency and I was tested last week. I had the results back yesterday and I am deficient. A kind lady on this forum suggested using magnesium oil to help and on research have found that people who are vitamin d deficient are also low in magnesium, hence my trip out today to mind magnesium oil. I was unable to get any in town so bought some oral magnesium tablets to take alongside the vitamin d. I will order the magnesium oil off Amazon. I’m hoping i’ll see an improvement in my symptoms soon as I feel quite depressed with it all. Hope you also find some relief soon, best wishes xhi guys i am type 1 diabetic and last year went off the rails a bit and didn’t control it well at all. anyway i started taking my insulin properly in January and have gained 2 stone my problem is my legs are killing me :-( i have been to the doctors and he checked my pulse and sensation in my feet and legs and said it is definitely not neuropathy and it is just my body getting used to the insulin again.
