Hi everyone I have had one of those days no matter what I eat the blood sugars were up and down. After breakfast it dropped to 2.4 then up to 8.2 then back 2.3 before dinner then after dinner 13.3 how the hell would you keep that stable. And most morning's mine would be around 2 r 3 and the nurse said have you not heard the saying if its four hit the floor I told her I could get my son's breakfast and have him ready for school before I c 2 myself. I am just wondering how low anyone's bs is before they have 2 c 2 it. Also my diabetic doctor told me once in the 3s is OK.

Hi there " 4 is the floor " comes from DVLA and their guidance for diabetics on driving.

Hope this helps

Are you a type2 on insulin?

What time after breakfast did you get a 2.4?
What minutes later did it go into 8s? Was your 8 retested incase of an error, or is this info from a libre?
If libre in 8s after a 2 for no reason, I'd advise checking it on a test strip. Well even then whatever the circumstances I'd retest after washing hands via test strip.
Sounds like 8 is either the test error or a liver dump to bring you back up from hypo levels. Do you not treat a hypo? That treatment can cause the 8 if overreacted.
Are you not happy with 8s as a type1?

I don't have libre always use test strip. I don't have problem with 8s for type 1.

I mean over treated not overreacted, sorry. Stupid predictive spelling.
Could you have treated your 2.4 to result in that 8?

Yes that could have happened.
I'm pleased you know why. Many would love 8s. I know though many want lower but I believe steady numbers are healthier than fluctuating ones.
Mine are fluctuating but now know why. 2 new meds have sucrose in them. I'm constantly having involuntary sugar. Humf!
