This is about an unusual low. So I did my 1030 check as normal with my teacher and was 3.7 mmol/L. I treated the low with one cup with Lucozade and went down to 3.1 mmol/L. It later went up to about 5 mmol/L. Everything was fine, or so it seems...

At lunchtime, I found my sugar was down in the 3s again with 3.8, normal treatment of 1 Lucozade. I went down to 3.4 mmol/L. I went back up to 7.5 I think and then 10.5 for my after lunch retest and had my insulin at this time. Bizarre.

I was diagnosed as diabetic, sometimes I am Hyper sometimes I have Hypo.

Plus, I don’t usually feel any symptoms. Yes, I am sure Reactive Hypoglycaemia has a similar treatment to Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, idk how to spell mellitus please correct it is just it’s long lost proper name.
But no 20 months old apparently I was diagnosed Type 1, if I had reactive hypoglycaemia I would have posted my stuff in there

I think it’s just a one off incident that needs to be prevented from happening again

Hi,

Looks like you had a double dip?

What insulin are you on?

The prevention? Try taking in a little longer acting carb.. After the initial short term Lucozade treatment. (Digestive biscuit.)
Pending on ensuing activity, IOB, temprature. & a host of other things.. Lucozade for me is only a short sharp quick pickup. ;)
