Very Low Carbohydrate Diet Equals Better Diabetes Control

"Improved communication" and "shared decision making" . Forgive me for stating the obvious but shouldn't this be at the very heart of the doctor/patient relationship?

Yes it should, but I have yet to experience it myself.

I think part of the problem is that GPs are unfamiliar with patients who want to take a active part in getting themselves better and adhering to a certain regime, in some of our cases low carb. The need educating and time to get use to the idea.

I'm very fortunate in having GPs and a DN who are well on board with the idea.

My only other comment is 'Do, please, try to keep up!'.

Of course it should! I am fortunate that all my doctors are excellent and I can ask them anything, but there are too many doctors who don't understand diabetes well.
