I've been prescribed a new antidepressant/ anxiety med called Avanza (mirtazapine) . Has anyone been on this ? How did you find it ?

I was on 45mg. I found this was the best anti depressant but for me, I put on loads of weight. Was taken off it because I was overweight before taking ut
 
I was on this, its a good antidepressant and it's also helps you sleep but man I put 3 stone on in 3 months so I've stopped taking it, you might be different but keep an eye on ur weight x

I'm really really underweight due to gastroparesis so to be honest weight gain is what I need right now.

I'm very underweight so a bit of weight gain would be ok with me. Did your weight go up because you were hungry on it or was your food intake the same ??
Glad you found it a good antidepressant also.
 
Butting into to this thread as I'm interested in what people have to say about the drug as my son has recently been prescribed it (non diabetic but ASD and has severe anxiety and PTSD ) - I'm finding that it's a good drug for him but he certainly has put on a lot of weight even though he isn't eating more - I know this because I do all his food
