Hi all,

I'm off on holiday soon and most of my day time is usually spent in the pool or sea with my young son. The questions is once I come out the water and need to inject in order to eat to I:

A) Towel dry the injection site and inject as usual
B) Towel dry the injection site and inject and then clean with a pre injection swab first.

FYI I've never used pre injection swabs, with the ole twice a day jobs on holiday I'd inject first thing after shower and then again in the evening after another shower and before dinner.

Cheers all.

Been away loads with various syringes, needels and pen combos I usually just dry off and inject and that includes being either in pools or the sea..

It has been years since I have used a swab and I and I only use them now to get the sticky gunk off my arm when replacing the Libre sensor.

Obviously if going out in the evening then jump in the shower first to be all sparkley and clean :)

Have a fun holiday.

I have been swimming many times since my diagnosis and never heard of pre-injection swabs.
I always followed your scenario A) and never had a problem.
Whether this is correct or not is anyone's guess.

Remember if you are exercising more than usual you may want to reduce your basal insulin.

And have a great holiday.

I must admit I have a habit of singing loudly in the supermarket (mainly when needing cauliflower, leek, chicory or tomatoes, as those are the items I know songs about), but I fail to see the connection between that and injecting when wet after swimming. Please help me out, I'm completely in the dark as to the meaning of maverick, and Google isn't very helpful.
