Diabetics R Us

Sometimes it's just a matter of blowing out the accumulated dust and dirt to get things working.

That is why the wife has to blow in my ear every so often.

Not even November yet and am sat here listening to fireworks going off amazing.
Our fireworks were tonight, the council stagger approval for the various villages so there isn't one night of gridlock and lack of emergency service cover in case of incidents.

Mine hasn't got a pilot light so I have to get the man in......
This is mine, very simple so not much that can go wrong with it :)

This is apro pro of nothing in particular but I have cause for concern of late I think, . I have been watching my Hb1Ac as predicted by MySgr app gradually increasing from 34 to now 38 bit by bit and if it continues like that my tight control will be a thing of the past and it worries me a little.

Have you any idea at all why? You know, the usual - illness, stress, carb creep, medication?

All I can put it down to are recent changes in dosage of prednisolone but this time have just gone from 20 mg to 25 mg per day.

Diet is pretty much the same mainly keto recipes from diet doctor site though odd non keto but low carb meals also and have a guest in the house daughters new partner who seems obsessed with potato crisps so the air is laden with carbohydrate dust and I have had to buy potatoes for the first time in months.

Daughters doc told her to maintain her diet including carbs till her next HbA1c later this month so having to cook both low carb and highish carb meals to suit everyones tastes a bit of a bind and having a "guest" is a little stressful at times.

Plus the stress of your daughter's diagnosis. Stress is a funny thing. Very often we don't realise we are stressed, and only our blood sugars, or BP, or heart rate give us a clue.

Good afternoon folks.

May I ask a question of the menfolk hereabouts, please. My eldest, my firstborn and secretly my favourite (!) will be forty in January and I have absolutely no idea what to give him for this milestone birthday. What do you get the fella who says he has everything he needs?
He is a computer nerd, enjoys sports and is very, very tight fisted (not like me!) so is not impressed by labels or designer gear.

I'm really struggling, I had thought of tickets to a music festival but as they are mostly staged in the summer months and I want to have something to give him on the day...

Maybe an experience gift like driving a racing car on a skid pan or something similar.
Now theres an idea! The only thing is my sons are XL, think The Rock, would he fit into a race car?

My friend was 27 stone and he used to drive a Micra, but there are other choices of high performance cars that you could go for so you could find one to suit I should think.

Had to edit a few times to make sense as bg at moment is 12.8 so not firing on all cylinders.

Sorry to hear that, John. Are you brewing summat? It's that time of year.
