Libre app without reader

I have zapped my sensor about 65 times in 24 hours!! Too much?? :hilarious: As well as checking on my meals I am going to use it to properly monitor the effects of exercise on my BGs as anything other than a slow walk tends to put my BGs up...or maybe not? Maybe I just test at the wrong time with the finger pricker? Watch this space lol.

Yep I'm in love with my libre :D

So long as you do it once within 8 hrs, its ok. Otherwise you get a gap in the chart.

I take photos of my meals and overlay them on the Glimp charts in Powerpoint...

Here's one screenshot, it was easier for me to match and relate the response this way.

Yes. You can activate the sensor with either the reader or the app, however if you activate with the reader you can also use the app but not the other way round. Check freestyle website.

Can't recall if you contributed to it or not, but, if you missed the thread, @maglil55 has a lengthy thread at the link below, narrating her experiences of libre from a T2 point of view, lots of useful stuff in there:

No, I didn't take much notice of threads about libre before now. It was always something I was going to get 'one day.' A friend gave me a libre sensor and then I saw this thread and thought I would try to use it without buying a reader. I love it lol. (I guess you already know that). I'll read the maglil55 thread later, thanks for bringing it up.

Now, zand, if you're finding time to post in between scans, you're not doing these early days quite right!

I remember my early days using it. People just can't believe T2s learn anything form it, but I certainly learned a lot about how my body works.

Lol. I am trying not to scan so much, but it's such fun!! :) Thanks for this, I will scan at will from now on...I thought it was just me :hilarious:

I was considering a temp ban for you you so that you could concentrate on it, but some would say that'd a be an abuse of privilege. ;)

Joke! Honest!

Hmmm, but maybe I could set about getting one for real huh?;):angelic:

Cheers for tagging me in @zand ,

& thanks for the info @helensaramay . I've already been looking at the apps you mentioned... & I've been running round for months with a phone with NFC turned on.. Lol, I don't have it set up for payments..

For clarity, got a sensor. No scanner & been head scratching the activation of the aformentioned disc & just using the "dog & bone...."
