I’ve been clearing out my diabetes draw and found this Libre add-on. It came with an order from Abbott, but didn’t come with any info, so went to the back of the draw. Anyone know what it does?

You can stick it to the back of your phone to make it easier to hold..... supposedly!

I have to admit I don't use a Libre, but I'd stick my neck out & say it was an addon to the sensor so you can scan with a phone using an app..?

I'll tag in some Libre users who will definately know.... @Scott-C @Brunneria @Mel dCP

No idea, what does it say in the pack? You don’t need anything extra to scan the Libre with your phone...

Doesn’t say anything. Just says it’s a Pop Socket to put in the back of my phone.

Ah, pop-sockets, stick it on the back of yr phone, makes it easier to hold.

Most of us will say, yeah, whatever, holding a phone isn't a problem, but there was a thread a while back with some folks with muscle co-ordination issues, MS, etc. saying it did actually help a lot, so I wouldn't knock it.

Can't find it now, but there was an article in a financial newspaper interviewing the founder. His motivation seemed pretty good. It came across as, "made it in my basement, took a financial risk, it worked, some peeps think it's gimmicky, but it works for disabled people", so hats off to the boy for taking a risk.

Mystery solved.

I was reading too much into the backing of the packaging...?

Used to get these rubber adaptors for the basal pens which helped with dexterity issues when dialing dosage.
I had to periodically clear out these spares from time to time.

If it works anything like this, then it’s great

I’ve been using one for over a year.

Looks like the same principle.. Limiting the chances of dropping the device?

I've recently discovered the joys of magnetic phone holders..
Fitted a low profile version to the A pillar on the van & slipped the slim metal pad twix the phone & the back of the hard case.
It will not budge till I remove the device..

If you're getting your kicks that way, Jay, you are officially middle aged!

Put rock and roll behind you, and enjoy shopping in John Lewis and Ikea...

Hey, I've alway been practical with my "ride pimps.." ;) :p

Well there we go, mystery solved! I thought it’d be a really cool bit of tech kit, but consensus says it helps you hold your phone better! I was hoping it’d turn my old iPhone 6 into a Libre-scanning awesome-thing, but unfortunately not
