So I had pizza using lo dough for tea.
Opened small tin of pineapple (usually drink the juice as a treat) and eat couple slices then have rest on pizza.
Realised I had drained the juice instead of drinking it so opened another tin and drank that and ate it as well.

I’m having my hba1c done in the morning.

That won’t affect it will it??
Been incredibly low or virtually no carb all day so hoping my moment of sugar madness won’t impact on it.

No. The HbA1c is an average of the previous 8-12 weeks (weighted towards the last 4-6 weeks) so your juice and fruit won't affect the result tomorrow. However, the fruit and it's s6gary juice will not aid your liver.

What do you mean it won’t aid liver?

The fructose in the fruit can only be stored in the liver and it has to be stored there as fat. A fatty liver will worsen insulin resistance.

Is that only fructose or just sugar in general?

Is that everybit if fructose or just if you eat too much?

I thought fruit was ok as long as it was in small portions

Table sugar is made up of roughly 50% glucose and 50% fructose which is why we avoid it.
The bulk of fructose from whole fruit will end up as fat in the liver, a little will end up being taken down into the intestines along with the fibre, liquid, such as fruit huices, will go to the liver faster. Fruit contains fructose and glucose too so you get a double whammy.

Berries are the lowest in fructose and glucose but it is better to have them with natural yoghurt or cream to slow down absorption while still getting the vitamins and the sweet hit.

Sorry about that. Fatty liver can lead to Non Alcohol Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) which can then lead to steatosis, fibrosis and cirrhosis. Best to avoid storing fat in the liver if at all possible.

Strawberries, raspberries and blackberries are great and some members tolerate blueberries in small portions.
Tropical fruit is to be mostly avoided especially bananas and grapes (the junk foods of the fruit world is how I describe them).
