Has anybody had sedatives prior to having eyes laser treatment...administered by the doctor before treatment?

I have had Yag laser capsulotomy done several years ago, and the drops they put in the eye to make the pupil bigger, and a anaesthetic eye drops to numb the surface of the eye were no problem apart from the initial sting.

I had no pain at all in the eye while the procedure was done, but paying for it was painfull,

Yes, for a cataract operation, along with a local anesthetic. I've also received sedation only when having a colonoscopy.

No, I've had the treatment several times and just sit in the normal eye test chair. They ask you to look at an area of the room. I think they used an eye clip to stop blinking but can't say I noticed it at all.
