License Renewal - Can I Drive?

Hi,

My license is currently being renewed, doctor has signed off on me driving and everything is perfect...

am I still okay to drive while my license hasn’t been returned?

I know with a 10 year license you are allowed too, just not sure if it is any different for having a 3 year medical restricted one
