Spike app / tomato app help

hello! I have used the tomato app for 6 months but it failed yesterday and I am unable to get any data readings. I tried to uninstall the app from my phone, and then reinstall it, which did not work. It glitches whenever I try to re install it.
I therefore am trying to install Spike. However I am not very computer literate and have come up against issues.....what is a bundle identifier??If anyone has successfully installed Spike please help? I was trying to install the Semi one - which I thought looked better?? Thanks

Don't know but does your phone need an update perhaps? If the app got updated in a way that isn't compatible with your current handset that could have caused issues with both apps.
Personally if I ever use an App MySugar seems to be fairly widely used and well rated/supported.
NO idea what a bundle identifier but hopefully a more techie person can explain.

Hi,

OK. Firstly. What device are you using? Which phone. Tomato app suggests you are possibly using a Miaomiao with a freestyle Libre?

Did you do this reinstallation whilst a Libre sensor was still in use & active?

Let hope we can help you find a solution!
 
Yes, what phone are you using?

I use Tomato with Libre/miaomiao and an iphone 6s/apple watch combo.
So my knowledge is restricted to those gadgets.

Tomato is still working for me. Not sure when it last auto-updated though...

If anything in my list is similar to yours, then I can have a go at answering questions on what works for me.

Personally, I took one look at Spike, and the need to keep registering, and all that phaff, and steered well clear!

There are a couple of Tomato miaomiao facebook groups you could search for and join - but I didn't get much joy from them.
comments didn't seem very impressed with Tomato performance, and I must say the app isn't very impressive.
HOWEVER I weigh that against the Spike Phaff, and am still happy to keep Tomatoing.

The FB groups seemed to explode with irritation each time there was an update, so that may be your problem? Lots of people having to re-connect their devices, and so on, and lots of comments about how it ceased to work for them until the next update.
Fortunately not something that has affected me - yet - but this is only my 3rd sensor with the miaomiao attached.
