Hi there,
Just received this equipment and have followed the instructions, but can't get it to bind with the Tomato app.
I have it fully charged and pressed the reset.
Any suggestions?

Hi @MattyBoyH22 ,

Welcome to the forum.

Can your device see the Miaomiao in the bluetooth list?

I'll tag in @Brunneria Who uses the Tomato app.

I use xdrip.
Did you also activate the Libre by scannng with the Libre app first?

Hi Jaylee,
Thanks for responding.
Yes I have used the Lbre App. I cannot see the device in the bluetooth list.
I had a look for drip and it displays a few that don't have that specific name.

Hi,

How long did you press the reset on the MM. From memory (from the online instructions.) it's 60 seconds?
However it also kind of resets (according to the instructions?) when you disconnect from a charge..
On your Bluetooth connection list you should see something like "miaomiao2_" with a few random ID letters & digits after?
Was there a solid green light on fully charged?

Let's see if we can get this thing up & running for you...

when I first started with the mm/tomato combo I made a rookie mistake.
Didn’t realise I had to start the sensor off with the reader before the mm could read it.
Nowhere in the instructions could I find that little tidbit! :D
in tretrospect it was kind of obvious, but I hadn’t realised.

Hmmmm, maybe it isn't charged yet. The light appears quite low, so maybe it's just a trick/reflection from my lighting. It's been charging for about 8 hours, but maybe needs longer.

The one I got was partially charged. Should only take a couple of hours tops?
Where are you charging it from. The USB cable can be plugged into a computor or phone charger USB connection plug?

I think I'll leave it charging via USB on computer tonight and try again tomorrow.

Thanks for your help.

No worries, good luck after a nights kip..
You should have a blue intermittent light whilst charging, then solid green when charged..

I'm also wondering if you have any other previously connected Bluetooth devices connected Like a speaker or ear phones?. & try dropping them off your list?

It's clearly a problem with the device not taking a charge (either itself or a duff charger).
I'll contact the manufacturer.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that.
Is there no blue intermittent flashing light next to where the magnetic connection mates up?
Have you tried plugging the USB into another outlet?

If you have a timer? (Possibly on your phone.) set it for 60 seconds then with a pin press & hold the reset for the duration..? (Unplugged from the charger, I hasten to add.)

Editing to add, the timer just helps you keep count..
