Hi
Hope everyone is keeping well. I’ve been type 1 for 44 years. I can’t walk that well and after say about 15 minutes my feet burn by the toes and my 2 or 3rd one cramps. Also when I get out of bed my feet are uncomfortable but are ok as soon as I walk. I’ve had orthotics made and tried all other insoles ( when I had my check up the diabetic specialist said the skin on the balls of my feet is thin ) but to no avail. Today I’ve noticed one foot is red and itchy and I’ve really dry skin. I loved walking and dread it now. I still have a good pulse in both feet. I’ve made an appointment to be reassessed but in the current climate it’ll be a long time. Any advice? I’d like to avoid Gabapentin etc as I’ve had it before and also have epilepsy, it really made me feel off. Thanks
