Type 1 LibreLink app for iPhone

Hi all, I was wondering if someone could please help me. This morning when I attempted to scan my libre sensor on my arm with my iPhone it did not scan and give a reading, instead it continues to say ‘ready to scan hold the top of your iPhone near scanner’. I have changed the sensor and turned my phone off and on again but with no success... has anyone had this problem, would this be an issue with the app itself or my iPhone. I have a reader which I used to use in the past but when I used this instead this afternoon it gave me a reading of 3mmol after I had activated the new sensor. This was inaccurate as my finger prick showed it to be 6.4. As I haven’t used a reader for over a year would it have become faulty or is this just an initial inaccurate reading which may stabilise later? I look forward to any advice and help as I’m very worried In not having the libre to monitor my blood glucose.

Just to be clear by the reader I mean the reader device that comes with the libre sensor.

I suggest you call Abbott. If there is a problem with the reader or sensor, there will be codes stored in the settings that will help them to identify the issue and issue a replacement sensor or reader if necessary.

I will try to call them tomorrow as they are closed on Sunday. I used a second sensor but that was unable to scan with the libre link app and the iPhone which failed with the first sensor so it seems like it’s unlikely to be a sensor problem. The reader I have is old and I had been using my phone to scan the sensor for the past year. However I did attempt to use the reader with the second sensor but the reading is too low in comparison to the finger prick test so I don’t want to rely on the reader. I’m hoping this is a temporary problem with the app rather than my iPhone x

Sorry what is NFC x
Near Field Communication, the way data from your sensor is transmitted to your phone.
I use a Huawei so I don't know how to check on I-phone.
On both Huawei and Samsung you swipe down from the top of your screen to get a menu where you can enable/disable things like wifi, sound, bluetooth, automatic rotation, flashlight and NFC. So you might want to search for NFC close to where you turn your wifi and bluetooth on and off.
