Before we begin I know the Libre reads 15 minutes behind and is not always 100% accurate compaired to a glucose blood machine since it doesn't measure the glucose in your blood but we are talking a massive difference here.

So put a new sensor on yesterday evening, followed the instructions carefully, wiped the area at the back of the arm with soapy water, let it dry then wiped with the alcohol wipes it comes with, waited until air dry then applied new sensor.

Apprently I went low during the night, blood glucose machine said 10 before bed, sensor 6.1 and falling. Waited 15 minutes to past and see if the sensor would read closer to 10 since it's been 15 minutes so it should either match or be close to 10.

Reads 6.3 and stable. Wait an hour and do a finger prick test. 12.0. Wait 15 minutes and scan the sensor...6.9.

Wake up at 5am in the morning. Sensor reads 4.7, start to worry that I'm going into a hypo if I don't have something. Before I start to eat a snack I check my glucose machine. 7.2. Let 15 minutes past then check the sensor to check if it's around 7 since it should of caught up by then. It reads 5.4.

I go back to bed, not treating the false 4.7 and wake up this morning. Scan again and it's 6.6. Check machine 9.9. Wait one hour and scan again, bloods scan at 7.4 with a steady arrow. But then test my blood glucose levels on machine and 12.0.

Even if I wait 15, 1 hour or any time after scanning and checking bloods on a machine (two infact, first being the contour and second the Freestyle libre glucose strips, both were the same). My bloods are reading anywhere from 2-6 higher than both my glucose blood machines and the graph never hit above 10 on the daily patterns, never hit 12.0. Said I was going low when I wasn't.

They won't even get in contact with me. Asked for a call back today and it's been 5 hours since they was ment to ring. Waited 45 minutes at the connection to an agent screen and didn't get a agent connected to me and they haven't replied to my email.

Should I just use one of my other sensors? I know the libre isn't ment to replace finger pricks but it's atleast ment to show your levels on average in the day. And we're not talking a small difference of 0.1-1.1 in readings, we're talking like a massive 2-6 difference which is a lot considering a 5 on a gm could be a 2 or LO on the sensor readings.

I don't know what to do. And there's no way that this morning a 6.6 scan witj a steady arrow can turn into a 12.0 15 minutes later.

I think many people tend to put the sensor in then leave it for 24 hours before activating to try to reduce/avoid reading problems.
Might that be the reason for your issue?

Not 100% sure. It wouldn't be so bad if it was 1 or 2 off but it's a massive 3-6 levels difference. I might leave scanning the rest tonight or once every 8 hours and use my glucose machine to see if that will help the sensor sort it's self out. Never had a issue with the previous one.

Also forgot to show pictures incase. A bit all over the place but look at the times and compare.Screenshot_20201105-105944.jpg20201105_110000.jpgScreenshot_20201105-163032.jpg20201105_163145.jpgScreenshot_20201105-163236.jpg20201105_163249.jpg

Hi,

If you use Android? Go to the store, Download "Glinp" & try scanning with that? The beauty is, you can calibrate Glimp to your meter.. It's a little less confusing. The app is free with no annoying adds.

You have nothing to lose.. There maybe a message with 2 app logos asking if you wish to scan with librelink or Glimp?

Click the one you wish & scan..
