Is anyone currently using Medtrum nano CGM please?

I’ve just started using them along with my nano pump but the CGM has been really inaccurate for me. First couple of times I’ve had to calibrate it as was off from the start but then the calibration never seems to work out well.
Maybe I would have been better just leaving it as factory calibration?

Also do you “presoak” your sensors and for how long? I’m struggling to find a good time of day to start my sensor so it’s accurate after the warm up time.

Any tips or help really appreciated!

I have been using the Medtrum Nano CGM for a few months.
There have been times when it has struggled but most of the time it is ok.
It helps if I calibrate when my levels are stable between 5 and 7. Higher or lower and I end up jumping between too high and too low for 24 hours.
During the heatwave, my sensor coped about as well as I did - it survived but was unhappy. It seemed to be restricted to report between 4.5 and 8.5 which led to a few nasty hypos as the heat made my insulin sensitivity increase and the auto suspend didn’t happen. Since the weather has returned to normal, so has the sensor.

I don’t bother with bedding in although I really needed to when I had Libre. I am not keen on leaving the sensor exposed with no transmitter.

I usually calibrate first thing in the morning and last thing at night but CGM changes seem to be at random times, usually in the afternoon a few hours after lunch.

Thanks for the reply!

So am I right in saying you don’t use the factory calibration and calibrate it twice a day?

I also felt a bit worried about leaving the sensor for too long exposed so maybe I won’t bother pre soaking for too long.

I’ve only been using the nano CGM for about 2 weeks so now the heat has dropped off I’m going to try again. Think I will use a libre alongside the nano so I can see how they compare and go from there.

I do like the nano system but wish a couple of things were different on the app.
