Thyroid cancer and diabetic meds

Does anyone worry about taking medication and it causing thyroid cancer? ozempic is one such medicine. I’m newly diagnosed and really worried about what to take.

OK. Whilst thyroid cancer is coming up in Google searches for Ozempic, as I understand it, understanding this is still in the early stages. Were the risk of thyroid cancer a big risk, the drug would be withdrawn.

It is not usually advisable for those who have, have had, or whose family members have had a particular type of thyroid cancer.

If you have concerns about taking this medication, it is in your best interests to discuss it with your Doctor.

There are literally hundreds of combinations of medications to treat T2 diabetes - excluding insulin, so it could be an alternative might feel better for you.
