Pre-diabetic

Thank you for your reply. I presume LCHF means low calorie high fat.
I'm still adjusting at the minute & struggling to find replacements for carbs.

LCHF for ke memas low carb, healthy fats.
Eg olive oil, avocado, eggs, the fat that comes in meat rather than around it, full fat dairy (ie not low fat versions).
Making sure you have enough healthy fats stops you feeling hungry for carbs

LCHF for us means low carbohydrate high fat, and this diet replaces higher volumes of carbohydrates with more fat for energy/fuel, since it's the carbs which tend to be the major issue in raising glucose levels for many T2 diabetics.

I'd agree with @MrsA2 that the high fat means healthy fat, which for me is normal full fat food instead of the reduced/low/lite fat offerings with their natural fatty goodness removed - but it doesn't actually require me to stuff my face full of lumps of lard, etc...

Our own Diabates.co.uk has a Low Carb Program and Diet Doctor is also a very useful low carb resource.

Sorry for my typo, one of my many!
