I have not been controlling my diet properly for some time and have recently been unwell with headaches, fuzzy head, nausea and fatigue. Is this likely to be related?

Those are possible symptoms of high blood glucose, but it can be caused by other things as well.
What type of diabetes do you have?
Can you test your blood glucose at home?
If not, I'd walk into a pharmacy today to do a fingerprick test, especially because of the nausea.
Blood glucose above 15 plus nausea means you need to test for ketones, which the pharmacy can help you with as well.
This is very important!
Welcome @Jo369
Without knowing what type of diabetes you have, what medication you are on, if any, and what sort of diet you have been eating. It's impossible to give you any useful advice.
Diabetes is a serious condition whatever type you have, high blood sugar can cause lots of health problems and in extreme cases be deadly. We are not Dr's and cannot give any medical advice but all of your symptoms could be caused by diabetes.
When you are unwell the best course of action is always to get checked over by your Dr
As previous people have said the symptoms could be related but could also be caused by something else. I think that you should consult a medical professional to find out exactly what is causing the symptoms.
I agree with @Antje77 that you should get your levels tested. If you don't have a meter at home I really suggest that you should get one. Diabetes is a serious condition and while having your head in the sand is tempting it is better to face it and start dealing with it.
