Why do I feel like the end of the world?

How long since your diagnosis and what treatment/diet are you on?

I was up and down after my diagnosis, not surprising as I did a complete overhaul of my diet and for weeks felt my entire life revolved about weighing and measuring, checking carbs and adapting my life. But it settled down and most weeks now I just take my new way of eating for granted. But if I get an infection my BS rises and I find cooking instead of grabbing a high-sugar snack harder.

Since three months ago. I have lost weight for 16 kg. And put on glucose monitoring (Libre) from the start. And quite happy that I am at prediabetes range.

These two weeks I learn that the glucose regulatoon is worsening and feel like alone.

Can hardly sleep for almost one month now.

I feel like I miss something that new baseline is reality now. Feel like losing weight is wasting time, and the weight keep dropping like 1 kg a week despite effort to eat more.

T2 diabetics struggle with carbs, not just added sugar, as it all turns to sugar in our bodies. Were you given any advice about your diet? Have you tried cutting carbs?

When I was diagnosed I wasn't given a meter but bought one myself. Testing before then 2 hrs after meals showed how many carbs I could safely eat.
I stopped having potatoes, bread, pasta, rice, and flour products, etc.
I mainly eat proteins including cheese and eggs, above ground veg like cauliflower, broccoli and green beans, plus some salad items especially lettuce and cucumber. I add oily salad dressings on lettuce and butter on my veg.
I have full-fat Greek yogurt with a few raspberries, or a rhubarb 'fake crumble' made with ground almonds instead of flour.
And in spite of the extra fat in my diet, and being unable to exercise I still lost loads of weight - no calorie counting and no need to feel hungry.
