Calf muscle sure

I haven't heard of diabetes causing muscle pain, although it could be possible I suppose.
I do know that it's a well known and often talked about side effect of Statins. So that could be a possible cause of your discomfort, if you are taking them.
How are your sugar levels? If you think it could be diabetes related, keeping your glucose levels in a good range should help.
If you have had it for a while and it doesn't seem to be improving, a trip to the Dr for some professional advise would probably be your best course of action.

My levels are good it’s hard to explain they feel heavy and annoying even when walking. Just wandering if anyone else has had this Thankyou

Are you taking statins, and are the pains constant or coming on with any exercise.

Im not on statin and is worse with rest blood test tomorrow see what comes up .

I would assume it's the statins if it's at rest rather than exercise. I Had bad leg pains on statins, but i also had intermittant claudication due to peripheral artery disease, which caused pain and cramping with minimal exercise.

I know this is an old post but I've been having calf pain on walking for some time now and have been trying to find out what's causing it. Apparently peripheral artery disease and intermittent claudication can occur if you are diabetic so I'm wondering if it's that. The nurse mentioned somthing about ischaemia but didn't expand. I'm thinking about trying to talk to a Dr but it's really stressful trying to get through and actually talk to anyone who takes you seriously.

Does your surgery use ‘AskyourGP’? It’s a useful tool and we usually get a response within a day

They have an online econsult service which I sometimes use. Funnily enough my calf pain has disappeared which is really strange as it was very bad. It seems to have co-incided with me eating LCHF but it's still strange as I've only been eating this way a little over a week!
