They come up with no reason apart from needing to add more B12 to my diet. As I eat no.meat, I miss out on some of the most common sources.Thank you so much for responding. What then was the cause of your. Low B12? I’m being tested for cause next week
Thanks. I have lots of meat and dairy and dark green veg so I don’t think it’s my diet. Who knows why doctors make the decision they do!! I’m definitely in the right catchment for pernicious anemia with age , 40 years type 1 , hypothyroidism. They are also going to test for celiacs. I am surprised you are being treated with injections before the tests. My doc insisted I tried 3 months of tablets first. This confirmed I can absorb the B12 in my diet so do not have pernicious anaemia.
Hmmm……I can’t say that I recall feeling bad. I never felt fatigue. I went through about a month of multiple dental issues that was not related. I got an overfilled tooth and it brought on other issues. I was in a state of trauma for about a month with various procedures. I was in a lot of stress and pain. So, I don’t know how I really felt. I had the B12 test as a fluke.Thank you for that. Did you feel poorly at all when your level was low?
