My free trial is on its last legs. It says it has two days left, but it's been saying "signal loss" most of this evening. I think I may put it out of its misery tomorrow. It's been incredibly resilient in bed and in the shower these past couple of weeks, not budging at all. So, given that, will I need a hammer and chisel to remove it?

Any less violent tips please?

Hi,

Can you still scan it?

Can’t help you with the non brute force approach, I’m afraid.. I tear mine off like a limpit..

I can still scan it. I'll take it off quickly, like ripping off a plaster.

A bit like a plaster just lift the edge and rip it off, it doesn't hurt. But as Jaylee said if its still reading then leave it until it stops.

Thanks. It'll be like saying goodbye to a good and informative friend. I have an overplaster on too. I have two more Librés, so I'll keep one for the Christmas period. I have a festive overplaster for that too!

If it quits its job before the 14 days are up, please give Abbott a call tomorrow before taking it off
If you buy (or use a free trial) of a product. you should expect the product to do what it promises.

If it doesn't, the seller/manufacturer (same in this case) should give you a (partial) refund or a replacement product.

When I was still self funding I offered they just refund me the equivalent of two missed days, seemed fair to me. But they rather send me a new sensor, must be cheaper for them than giving me an 8.50 euro discount on my next purchase.

If it is faulty (or falls off two days before it ends… OR FALLS OFF!) Abbott will kindly replace it with no fuss. Just saying, in case it happens, just in case, I’m sure it won’t but they do fall off really easily, even if you ACCIDENTALLY knock it off they replace it with a fresh one

edit, sorry kinda repeated what Antje said but I’m more of a degenerate

Was about to put an 'agree' rating under your post but then I saw the edit, so to be on the safe side, I didn't. :hilarious:

Get the use out of it.. :)
I had one recently go down like this a little while back. A one off so far.for me…

But they’ve been OK after that.

Sorry, found this amusing.. You got Christmas better planned than me.

It's currently a free trial, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt this time. @Jaylee I don't do decorations, but like to add the odd festive touch to things.
I like it when they fail last couple of days as the replacements are free, best value! I had one fail about 4 hours before due to end and they still replaced it with a full time one

Neither do I.. (on the decorative front.)
we both don’t stay in the house over the period. (Wife & I.. her family are no longer with us. They were great!)

I’ll put on a “fairy tail of New York” Pogues tee shirt. Or Darth Vader “merry sithmass.”

The rest of my family. Go all out…

Thanks for sharing some of your experiences from your time with it, been very interesting to see.

Good plan for the Christmas period, I like it!

I just get my fingernail under one edge and peel them off, they need quite a yank!

I was advised not to rip off anything attached to my skin like a plaster or a Libre as this can rip off a layer of skin.
I find the best way to remove my Libre is in the shower. Slowly peel off a small sea and let the water get to the glue to listen it.
