Issue with Libre2: Data Not Recovering for Full 8 Hours

Hi everyone,

I started using Libre2 last night, and I noticed an issue during the night. My Android phone recently lost connection with the sensor. Every time I woke up during the night, I manually rescanned the sensor. However, when I got up in the morning and checked the data, I found that only a few readings were available—one reading per reconnection.

Here’s an example of the data I downloaded:

According to the documentation, the sensor should store and recover data for the last 8 hours when reconnected, but for some reason, this didn’t happen in my case.

Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't come across this issue.

I can't think of anything.

You probably need to figure out if the problem is on your side or Abbott's server side.
So my first suggestion is to log back into LibreView and look at the daily log and see if you have gaps on the graph. If there are no gaps, then the server must be getting the data and perhaps the download is going wrong. It is possible this may be a temporary glitch, so try downloading again (I just tried mine and it worked fine).

If there are gaps on the graph , then the server may not be getting all the data.

Also try adding more record types (for example notes, carbs and insulin dosage) to see if this information gets uploaded (Again you should see this on the Daily Log and also should be included in the csv file. (You should be able to delete these records later so you can enter dummy figures)

On your phone, is your bluetooth working and do you get live readings updated every minute? If so then the csv file should contain not just the manual NFC scans, but also an automatic scan every minute (both of which are type 1)

But even if your bluetooth is not working, when you do a manual scan if should pull in the historical records for the last 8 hours. So your csv should contain a type 0 record for every 15 minutes.

On your phone does the graph have gaps? If so then the problem is either with the sensor or the app. You could try uninstalling the app and reinstalling.
That will lose the data on the phone, but it may start behaving correctly.

You could try emailing Abbott's support ([email protected] in the UK, but from your readings, I presume you are not based here). But in my personal experience that has been a long, frustrating and futile experience, but perhaps you will have better luck.

Hi @Vitaliy Reznikov , welcome to the forum.

The 8 hour data comes in the form of a graph, not numbers, do you get the graph? Should look something like this (The gaps show I waited more than 8 hours to scan again, I use an alternative app to watch my numbers and mostly scan when I want to take insulin):

The numbers you quote sound like they come from the log book part of the app, looks something like this, where you can see when I scanned. You won't find numbers for moments you didn't manually scan, the information is in the graph:

(And ignore my numbers, my Libre reads too low, there were no hypos.)
