At the moment, I have been eating this. From Holland and Barret. On sale at 3.74 from 4.99 250g. Taste is ok. But Livlife better in taste n texture.
Oh right. Funnily enough I've got a H&B voucher waiting to be spent so I may have a wander down there.

If Waitrose delisted Livlife bread, hopefully it will be available in other grocery stores.

According to their website Waitrose in Bury St Edmunds have it in stock I wonder if postage could be arranged?
Just spoken to Livlife office in Salisbury and I was told they have stopped production due to low sales. But was also told that it will depend on Waitrose if they can come back on sale in Waitrose.
Sad, as Livelife has been my bread for the past 7 years.

Went into the BSE Waitrose today and asked one of the bakery staff what the story is and he said it's "suspended" but not discontinued, and that he's had a lot of people ask about it. Seems Waitrose will carry on with it if this message from Waitrose BSE is anything to go by...

I remember in one Waitrose when I was looking for it, I was told by the staff member (or partners as they like to be called) that they only would buy in about 3-4 loaves for their delivery so that is why it would go so early in the day. Such a shame.
It is a catch 22 with these type of speciality products as small production = higher costs. If only there was still a low carb products shelf alongside the free from products. Sadly the low carb buzz about 12 or so years ago was very short lived.

Hi everyone, this is my first post on your very informative forum, thank you for having me! Yes I've had the same response from my Waitrose. I've read all of your posts but can't find any reference to Livlife's reduction in weight last year. It went down from 500gr to 450gr and so the slices went down from small to miniscule! That was done at the same time as the bag printing was "modernised". Instead of increasing the price perhaps to the level of the Hi-Lo at Sainsbury's and keeping to the 500gr weight they went down the route of the weight reduction. Were they attempting to kill the product off in this way by reducing the sales when people found the new size unacceptable? They could then as they have done now, blame lower sales to give them the excuse to cease production. I don't have diabetes, my need for Livlife is weigh control and had been buying it for the past 5 years. As an aside I'd also 5 years ago found Eatlean cheese and the normal cheese block has now been withdrawn and is only available through Ocado, they're grated and slices are still in the stores but I need the block. It can't be frozen so I can't accept the Ocado quantities, just another nail in my dietary coffin! Thank you all for the tip about Sainsbury's Hi-Lo, I'll give it a try.

I have written to Waitrose customer service and they have told me LIVLIFE have ceased production.
LIVLIFE have said they have ceased production because Waitrose stopped orders. ‍♀️
Hi-Lo not available on the Sainsbury’s app.
I have set up a subscription on Amazon for low carb bread which is more expensive and have not yet tasted it but at least as a Prime member there is no delivery fee which there is on the low carb websites unless you spend £50-£60.
I’m really upset about this as I have been using LIVLIFE for more than 10 year now and as others have said, it always old out quickly in our local Waitrose store.

This is what makes it appear popular to those of us who low carb, when it actually isn’t with the general shopper, and isn’t worthwhile them stocking it for such low sales - though they could treat it as a loss leader to get people in store. 90% of us buy more than we went in for so it could still benefit them selling it

I think the hilo is only available in certain sainsburys. I've had no problems getting it from my usual sainsburys.

I have contacted Waitrose and then written to their customer service team Asking the question as to why it is unavailable . Also explaining why it is important to to have a supply.

Lets see what the reply is ?

I just used you link to write to them as well . Everyone on this forum should write to them . If enough do , it might change their mind

Given the statements from both Livlife and Waitrose, it was not profitable at £2.00 a loaf. If it were to come back how much would you pay for a loaf - £6 is about the price of the main competitors but there are also low carb loaves out there for £10-12 a piece. I think £6 is the limit for me.

I would suggest about £ . Took them long enough to decide it wasn’t profitable

£6:.00 is way too high for me. I'd do without.
Even at £2 I was severely rationing it as it was so difficult to get. I'd make any I could find last like treasure

I do occasionally make my own "bread like items" and freeze

Liquorice and aniseed (especially the tracer I have to drink in hospital before a CT scan - yuk!)
For £[emoji6] I’d want Waitrose to deliver the loaf and provide a butler to serve it

Wonder if they would consider operating a direct sale or subscription model? I agree that buying the bread was the only reason I went to Waitrose . I’ll write to Waitrose , the bread clearly is in demand

Recently tried out Srsly low carb bread bought from their online store. Impressed with the sliced loaf and burger buns. Quite expensive however plus delivery charges. In summary Srsly made better sandwich (and lower carb count) but Livlife made better toast. Would definitely go back to Livlife loaf if Waitrose stocked it again but in the meantime putting together mega orders Srsly for freezing. Plan to try the hot dog rolls and pizza bases too.

The pizza bases are a game changer
