I have just learned that Novo Nordisk has decided to phase out Levemir production. This has (apparently) already happened in USA and over here in Europe we have the luxury of being able to get supplies until the end of 2026.
As someone who experienced severe myalgia using glargine based insulin (Lantus and Abasaglar) I am quite concerned by this.

Novo Nordisk to discontinue Levemir insulin by end of 2026

The pains I had on Lantus disappeared when I switched to Tresiba. I also love the stability of Tresiba, although this can be a downside if you regularly adjust your basal dose.
