Thanks for history education on the BD needles did not realise that was the reason we got the free plastic needles,
Lets take a trip to the 1970s just when many popular long running TV series would always run an episode on the frail and feeble diabetic. One that comes to mind is a Lassie episode a full hour programme dedicated to someone slipping into coma only to be saved at the last minute by a hot cup of tea and a couple of sugar lumps and some rich T biscuits.
We had the pleasure of watching Two's Company with the big Celebrity Elaine Stritch a real life diabetic if that wasn't bad enough relatives would cut out numerous newspaper clippings that just happened to mention diabetes.
You cannot even loose your temper without someone chipping in "are you feeling alright" do you need something to eat ? At least today with the libre you can check and carry ranting but they still don't believe you.
In summary there's a lot to get p....ed off about but that's what makes Diabetes special.
