my HBA1C has come down from 59 to 51 my CKD stage 4 eGfr has gone up from 24 to 27 good news on both fronts BUT it seems my Consultant Nephrologist has stopped my Diabetes medication Linigliptin without explaining why.. was informed by my GP .. now been prescribed Empaflaglozin which seems to be the new medication of choice for Nephrologists and Cardiologists.. i mean i don’t think i’ve actually spoken to a Consultant who deals specifically with type 2 diabetes .. does such a person actually exist??
