What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

4.6 libre when checked around 5am been awake since back of 3. lots of snow was forecast overnight warm thou so currently raining washed away the little that had. Boxroom - sorted 10 boxes into just 3 keeping. Mostly years old paperwork ... recycling centre to dispose when opens. Making start on other boxes in the room later. Photo albums is next up on list to sort through. Have got so many the same. will take digital photograph of each of them then try to organise on pc, will keep original photos only of the ones i really like, then see how many are actually duplicates at a later date. Hope to have whole house redecorated by summer and getting rid of as much as possible. Lost lot of family members over recent years. lots from my late mums house/grans/aunts & uncles went between mine and my sis's house shes popping into mine later to help, and wants help with hers after. Ornaments/paintings etc will be harder to sort out.

Enjoy your day

8.9 this morning, readings all over the place this year with no apparent reason why. Wondering if I am heading for a metaphorical fall? Have been walking 7-10 miles every day but that doesn't seem to bring down numbers as well as keeping carbs between 50-100g. Worried that medication may be altered if continues.

Not that I am an expert but for what its worth if I dont have a rest day after a work out my levels can increase, could that be a reason, that your body is not fully recovered? Stress plays a big part and it can be a gradual thing. My readings are lower in the morning but seem higher in the day at the moment, I would prefer it the other way around! Christmas festivities can play a big part, can take a while to come back to your normal. I also cannot fast as my levels with increase.

Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...

It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.

I'll start.

This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me

What about you?
23!

6.7. Dexcom expired yesterday, I will miss it but fear I’m becoming addicted to these numbers….so I’m going cold Turkey for a bit….no testing. I’m doing just fine, I know (usually) what spikes my blood. If I feel like **** I will check.
Gym was abs, a yoga class (boring), and a 40 min walk. No snow here even though they forecast it, I’m happy.

Thanks, worth a try, maybe I will drop the exercise and see how things progress although I suspect it still might just be a long recovery after Christmas. Funny but although I dropped the diet a little for a few days it was no big binge or mad feast and I expected to get things back on track after a week. Looks like it will take more time than I envisaged.
