Hi I have been on mounjaro a month, lost 6 pounds first week now regained 4 over last 2 weeks! It’s as if my body got used to it. Asked about going up a dose but nurse said body has to get used to it so prescribed me 2.5 again!
I just wondered how long they made others wait before going up a dose as I don’t think it’s strong enough yet

I've been on Mounjaro since June last year and have lost 22.2 kg. I'm still on 2.5 mg. That level works for me. But I think it's normal for most people to go to 5 mg after 4 weeks.

A word of caution. This is the second time I've been on Mounjaro. The first time I went on to 5 mg after 4 weeks and 24 hours later I was in hospital with Atrial Fibrillation and severe diarrhoea and vomiting.

As for your weightloss, losing 6 pounds in a week may be a bit too fast. Aiming for no more than 2 pounds per week may be more sustainable.

Oh wow bless you, you never had AF before that? That’s scary!
Well Iv only lost in weeks now.

I really hope you keep well going forward diabetes is so draining good luck

I'd had two heart attacks before, but AF was new. But the thing I'm most pleased about is my blood sugar is now in a consistent normal range. My last two Hba1c tests have been 38.

I went from 2.5mg to 10mg over the course of about 6 months. The appetite suppression stopped after 4 months and I came off it after about 10 months. However I've gained 7 of the 35lbs I lost, so I'm back on Mounjaro at 5mg (along with Pioglitazone 45mg).

Ive been on it for several month and lost nothing, im on 10mg and still at 123kg but, my blood sugar is down from 7.3 to 6.9 <--- (that was a month ago), i train at least 4 times a week strength and conditioning :banghead:, nurse said its not good i havent lost weight , their scales say i put it on but mine don't (mine aren't antiquated like theirs)

Don’t forget on any weight loss regime it is normal to lose a lot of weight in the first week as most of this is water. This is a well documented issue. Losing 6lb in the first week is normal if you have quite a lot to lose, you should find your weight loss will settle down

The first time I lost it was 8 lbs in the first week then it settled down to 2lbs a week.
