Metformin caused sever bloating now prescribed Ozempic

Hi was recently put on metformin. O was already on diamicron and jaunivia but my BSL regardless what I ate where getting high my Endocrinologist said my BSL are ok but could be better. So was put on metformin in October 25 but I became severely bloated and gassy and having crohns colitis was causing lots of issues for me. So he has suggested trailing ozempic but stoping metformin and jaunivia. He is also wanting me to lower my dose to half of the standard starting dose for 4 weeks than move to the starting dose 0.25mg then stay on this till I see him again in 3 months. I haven't gotten prescription filled as yet but I've read that ozempic may help with weight lost but can cause muscle wastage as well. I'm ok with the weight lost if that happens but a bit concerned about muscle wastage anyone have any suggestions to help prevent muscle wastage whilst on ozempic and any thing else I may need to also be aware of. You should have put an @ before you quoted me, I have only just seen this. I have neglible side effects, just very burpy when I first started it.

Ok my endocrinologist wants me to start on low dose at first of ozempic so Instead of the 0.25mg im to take half dose which will be 0.125mg hopefully get less side affects when start. Im planning to start friday. Fingers crossed all goes OK for me
