Hi.

Basically I woke up at am today and my sugars were high and now it’s [emoji[emoji6]] [emoji6]am and the effects haven’t worn off. I fell asleep on the sofa from [emoji6] :[emoji6] to [emoji[emoji6]] am. The effects have left a little bit. Not vomiting but still dizzy. I wrestled my pump in my sleep apparently and now I put it back on when I woke up. My ketones were at [emoji6] but I didn’t tell anyone because I didn’t want to go to hospital before school. I can feel they came down and gonna test in a bit. Any advice? Cuz now I have a stomachache.

ask on the NHS app
there is a 111 section
hope that can help

Hi,

I think you’ve used the app to post so the actual numbers didn’t come through properly. What are your blood sugar and ketone levels now?

Did you contact 111?

Hi @Hoodiegirl3
How are you feeling now? I’m concerned about your post. You say you haven’t said anything because you didn’t want to go to hospital before school but its Saturday?, I’m just a bit concerned with those numbers & your apparent confusion

I think it would be best to let someone know how you’re feeling & they can help you or call 111 for advice Things can change quickly & high BG with high ketones needs looking at as I’m sure you know :)

Please let us know how you are getting on

@Hoodiegirl3 If you feel unwell, you need to tell your parents. Even if you have school on a Saturday, when you or your parents speak with 111, it does not necessarily mean a hospital trip. Sometimes 111 gives advice, other times they may send paramedics to the house. At age 14, you are mature enough to deal with Type1 diabetes, but your parents are still involved with your care.

Hi guys. Thanks for that. I meant I had school on Monday but I really don’t want things to be bad before I start school again. Thankfully I’m a lot better now. Still dizzy and shaky but I really appreciate this. it dropped quite rapidly but also quite nicely… now I just got to prevent it from getting too low. But thank you!

Thanks for the update @Hoodiegirl3 glad you’re feeling better :) maybe all those Eid goodies decided to give you trouble. Keep a close eye on yourself for a while - back to school Monday :) I left school many many moons ago over 45 years but I still remember those back to school Sunday night blues & I loved school lol
