I just realized that the basal pen I've been using has been out of the fridge for 35 days! Anyone else done this? I didn't notice anything out of the usual in terms of my Trurapi needs and I felt fine during the additional week.

If it’s still working there’s nothing to worry about. I believe my Tresiba says to use for six weeks. I find it loses efficacy between week three and four and tend to ditch. Which is a shame as I only use between five and seven units depending on time of year.

How often do you test?
Feeling fine doesn't tell you your bg is fine.

It's no different from food labels. Label guarantees something is fine until x date, and it might be fine for (much) longer.

Interesting. Good to know.

I'll keep in mind for a next time I will be careful to avoid.

I test before a meal, 2 hours after then usually 2 hours after that. Plus first thing a.m. and before bed. Same times every day. Eat almost the same food and quantity every day. Nothing flagged. Variations within a degree as usual for times when the basalglar is within the time limit.
