I have been getting stinging pains in my back,legs and left side of my head doc said it's the diabetes so take your pain killers .What is happening is it nerve damage

I am taking insurlin and metformin my levels are 7.6 average over the last 4months been on med for the past 14 months

Perhaps you could ask your GP for a vit b test as sometimes the lack of this vit can cause problems I had shooting type pains in my feet and started on a high dose b complex and the pain has almost gone but I also got my BG s down so that may have helped as well
