Type 1 Has anyone else here got diabetes and MS?

Exactly. I said well hey! No one invited diabetes to the party! I find that if my control is bad it can aggravate the diabetes..I used to come on the site a lot. I was told I had 1.5. But recently dr confirmed it is type 2. I've just started forxiga tablets and finding them fantastic. I take levemir at night....but have been able to stop novorapid in the day....hope you are keeping well

Lol early for me too!! Sleepless nite with burning feet all nite! MS is a *****! Fatigue is the worse thing ever...hate when people say 'I'm tired!'..They ain't got a clue what tired is. What meds you on for MS?

That must be so horrid for you. Oh my! I would never be able to cope with all that. You two sound very strong. Well done.
 
I'm on buccastem for nausea. I mainly have balance and nausea problems...steroids when a relapse. Stemetil....metformin and levemir and forgaxia for diabetes...I too get numbness in feet..from ms....some days its hard juggling both....I agree

Out of interest - please can you explain more on the MS
I have started to wonder about this lately .

As need/use stemetil for nausea and suffer weariness/fatigue
Have balance and mobility issues too .
Joints ache too . [is this a link to MS]
 
These are symptons I suffer with ms...as I explained. I have had ms a long time. And diabetes just the past 3 years...ms symptoms for me are pain. Problems with nausea because of poor balance. Stiff legs. Hard to walk ect. Diabetes exacerbates it all

I thought my stiffness and balance and gait was an
simply getting older kind of thing .
Same with my achey joints .

The fatigue and weariness and muscle weakness is
something else though !
Nausea sweeps in and out and over me daily .
Off my food then when can manage something
Can only cope with a little snack size portion of something .

Have made an appointment to discuss this further with my
own GP on march 3rd .
It has been going on for a bit now and I feel it needs checking out .

hi, well at times its not all fun, fun, fun but then there's days when I feel I can take on the world. Lol, I suffer from fatgue, my balance is a bit dodgy but I enjoy life very much. On a serious note I would ask your go to refer you, chin up, be safe, chat soon xx lyn

hi, was having some technical issues and not just with my legs lol, on the whole im good, there are people worse off than me, keep smiling. Chat soon xx
