I'll give the sauerkraut a try, I'm only allowed cabbage occasionally though, plus I'll have to look for one that doesn't contain acidic preservatives as I've also got an irritable bladder (it's a never ending list of ailments that need special diets for me at the moment!!) I could make some kimchi too, but again, I'd have to leave out the garlic (not allowed with SIBO) and spices ('cos of my bladder!!!)
Sigh, food has lost it's appeal for me at the moment, it's just becoming 'fuel'. Meal times are just something to get over with as quickly as possible. I've always been a bit of an emotional eater, which I know isn't particularly healthy, but the little treats I was allowed with diabetes (the occasional cappuccino, greek yogurt, mini milks) were enough to keep me happy with my diet. This diet is so restrictive, it's making me miserable and grumpy (I pity my poor boyfriend at the moment!) Hopefully, after the month is up, I'll be able to add in some more interesting foods again
Thanks for the help and support everyone
