Hi and welcome,
do you know what your blood measurement was? i dont think the joint pain is diabetic related and i imagine they will have checked your inflammatory markers, i would go back if the pain is no better as it could be anything:)

I found that a lot of my aches and pains went away once my Vitamin D levels came back to normal - I was frankly amazed what a difference that one thing could make to my quality of life - so fingers crossed it helps you too :)

She also never gave any specific details for the blood test results. And after starting from an argumentative position over the pain I was left feeling uncomfortable for the rest of the appointment that I was unable to ask so I do not know how high my levels were.
I've been in a similar position, but I had to get the results because one of my children was being investigated for a related condition that might be inherited. I couldn't face asking the GP, so I asked at reception how to get my results, and to my surprise they printed them off for me on the spot. Worth a go! And if you do get them and don't understand them, just ask on this forum.

Good luck,
Kate

There are other issues with Vitamin D beyond sun exposure - people can have problems synthesising it as well, I believe. I think it should be tested in everyone as part of their yearly blood work, especially if they've ever had a low reading.

the course will probably include carbs
the urine test was to check for ketones which T1 can get with high sugar. It's probably not needed but I would get some keto strips from the chemist while your sugar is high. I guess for 5 pound and do some home tests to keep an eye on it. it's cheap insurance
