Hi,

I am Type 2 taking Metformin (2 tabs twice daily) + i gliclazide (1 tab twice daily) and my glucose levels are difficult to control.

I visited my GP today and my latest bloods and, as they confirm this upward trend , I suggested trying Invokana which was approved by NICE in February this year but GP's are still awaiting guidance.

From what I have read, the action of the drug (it reduces Kidney reabsorption of glucose into the blood and sugars are excreted in urine) reduces sugar levels and encourages weight loss and can help reduce BP.

My GP had never heard of it but promised to investigate and get back to me.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this product?
