I am nine weeks pregnant and have known I'm diabetic for over a year. Because of the pregnancy I was put onto insulin two weeks ago as I was taking metformin. I regular check my sugar levels because of this and they remain high regardless of what I eat or that the insulin has been increased twice in the fortnight. I am so unbelievably stressed and upset. Not helped by ongoing depression problems without medication now. I'm so scared my baby will be hurt by my diabetes and I feel absolutely useless to prevent this. My diabetic specialist just seems annoyed that my bloods aren't doing what they should but I'm at a loss at what to do. Can anyone that has gone through the same uncooperative sugar levels during pregnancy give me any reassurance as I feel doomed right now
