And it turns out I literally am! Well was, anyway.

Hi my name is David, i'm 42 (just!) and was diagnosed 2 years ago with type 2 so excuse my lateness at arriving at the party!

I live on the sunny Isle of Wight and it's all good. Type 2 diabetes is my mum's family hobby and specialist subject, she is one of 6 siblings all of whom were diagnosed between 30 and 60 and unfortunately we lost my uncle 7 years ago at just 57 because he wasn't the best at managing it :(

I am also a single parent to a beautiful 7 year old son, Lucas.

I can't think of much else right now but come and talk to me because if there is one thing I LOVE it's talking!

Hi David and welcome to the best forum you will ever join! Have fun, read all you can and yes it is a lot but it's super info too.

Remember, there are no stupid questions and you suddenly have loads of friends in just the same boat as you. :happy:

Fortunately, I love cats. However I couldn't eat a whole one. Hehe, sorry Kat, just a little jokey!

I used to have a boss who was always taking about her cat and referring to it most of the time as '*****' with absolutely zero sense of sarcasm or double entendre. It was like being on the set of Are You Being Served? from about 1978 most of the time.
