Hi
As the title suggests I tried porridge today for the first time since diagnosis In January. Followed a recipe I found and used 25g rolled oats (experiment - know could've tried less) and microwaved it with water then added full fat Greek yogurt and 50g blueberries. Just fancied a change from Greek yogurt and blueberries or rhubarb with linseed, pumpkin and sunflower seeds - also curious as to what outcome might be now I'm 2.5 stone lighter and HbA1C down from 106 to 47. So ..... 6:2 before breakfast and 6:2 two hours afterwards. Success you might say? Yes, I'd agree if I hadn't done a one hour after eating test to try to find the spike ....... and it was 9:8. Someone once told me on here to avoid things that spiked higher than 7:8 at an hour if I wanted to keep within non diabetic levels and deep down I do agree with this but if I followed other advice and only tested before and at 2 hours I'd be really pleased. Which way to lean?
