just wondering how many carbs most of you are eating per day when trying to loose weight, im trying to loose 2 stone down from 13st12 to 11st12 hopefully and have started eating very healthy, zero junk food or biscuits, no chips or mash potatoes, no pasta and no bread. yet on myfitnesspal app its recording that im eating about 120-130g a day of carbs.
20 of that or so is bran flakes in morning with semi skimmed milk, then lunch i usually eat chicken salad with some fruit and maybe a yogurt if im quite active. then chicken or beef for dinner with salad or veg. last night i had one strip of sharwoods egg noodles at 110 calories and 21.9 g carbs and sweet chili sauce at 15g
is 130g of carbs a day too much for someone who is quite active but trying to loose weight, my fitness app is telling me im aloud 300g for my weight loss goal

I doubt anyone will lose weight eating 300g of carbs a day. Based on what I've read on your other posts, you're fairly active so I would say you'll most likely lose weight on 130g of carbs a day. From personal experience, when I reduced my average daily carb intake from 250g to 150g I quite quickly lost weight. It's all individual though, but 130g per day should see yo ok.

you don't go by the default setting in pal..that will kill you, you either change it to what % you want of each, or do your calculation and ignore their total
if you need more info..ask

I lost weight eating around 130g of carbs a day, the key is to cause a calorie deficiency, if you burn more calories than you consume then the weight will begin to fall off.

bacon is preserved, so I go easy on preserved meat, I read something years ago, whether it's true or not I don't know.
I think fat is fine
