Hi Heathenlass, thanks for your post. I am ok. Went to see GP yesterday and she checked my BP, which was normal. She requested blood tests and did an ECG. Thankfully, that was normal too. So, just waiting to see what the blood tests say. She thinks I may be anaemic! Will hopefully get the results by Tuesday. Still feeling dizzy and my BG levels are a little all over the place! Just having an easy weekend. The GP did say if I got any worse over the weekend to call the NHS helpline. Will let you know when I find out about the blood results.
I'm glad you are ok -ish! It sounds like the doc is leaving no stone unturned, and that's good It's not long until your pump clinic appoinment either is it ?
I hope you have a good, relaxed week end and feel better for it

At least it's been detected and a course of action. Hope all goes well
Argh! So sorry to hear that It's a bummer to come away reassured over the ECG then be called back and told otherwise . It's all a bit odd
Are you still feeling dizzy ?

Ok, I'm dredging my memory here from nursing - I seem to recall that if you are anaemic, it can show an anomaly on your ECG. Much of what you describe does fit in with anaemia, and it's a possibility with your weight loss and diet changes too ...
It may be something as simple as anaemia or vitamin deficiency - did or will your blood tests include B12 ?
I'm pretty sure it will be something simple and easily fixable, so do try to not get too stressed about it, not easy, I know, with your holidays looming ! Where are you off to ?

Good luck for tomorrow, GL ! I hope you are feeling a little better, or rather, a lot better!
You have one heck of a schedule ahead ! Do mention this tomorrow when you see the doc so that maybe any further tests and treatment can be speeded up . Let us know how you get on . And yeah, sometimes, we seem to only see the HCP's at regular intervals for routine "stuff", then it's one appointment after another

I am not T1 but had the same thing earlier in the year. Same story with the ECG and low potassium. And high readings and dizziness. Finally sorted itself and was told it was a virus (catch all when they have no idea!) and that my heart was fine and was simply working harder to deal with the virus. Apparently electrical signals were a bit out of sync and was misfiring. Took 4 weeks but it sorted itself out.

Hiya GL,
I've been mega busy so only just read your post, are you feeling any better since Friday ? Well, it's good news that the ECG and bloods are normal !
That rash though, is it anything like shingles ? As @paulins has said, if it's a virus that would explain the whole shebang, high bloods, dizziness etc?
